Matthias Mazur is one of the two co-founders of VaultFi and is a serial internet entrepreneur, investor and author with 17 years of experience in acquiring, founding, growing and selling digital businesses.
Matthias has built, ran, and sold several advertising and marketing agencies and businesses, generated over $200 million revenue for his companies, retired financially, and currently oversees a portfolio business that generated $30 million/year with over 150 employees and staff across all companies. He allocates his time advising his teams of CEOs, CMOs and executives.
A former professional athlete, he was ranked the #1 junior tennis player in Switzerland and recruited by Roger Federer’s coach as a highly-touted prospect. On the European and World Junior tennis tour, Matthias competed against some of the all-time best, such as Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, before suffering a career-ending leg injury, which forced him to pivot overnight. He chose entrepreneurship.
He has been involved in digital marketing since the early 2000s, and has been building internet-based businesses full-time since retiring from professional tennis in 2007.
Since launching his very first online advertising campaign over 20 years ago, he has hired over 5,000 people for his businesses and clients, from customer support representative, to system administrators, developers, copywriters, marketers, salespeople and branding experts.
He was the first CEO of Europe to be interviewed by Facebook (META) at their European headquarters in Dublin as a thought leader, based on the success of one of his businesses that rose to prominence as one of the highest-performing digital marketing and advertising agencies in Europe. His companies have invested over $30 million in paid advertising and lead generation over the last decade.
His core strengths lie in marketing, digital marketing, direct-response and performance marketing and advertising, consumer psychology, sales, creating - simplifying - communicating big ideas and making them understandable by the masses, long-term vision and strategy, social media viral campaigns (hundreds of millions of views across organic & paid marketing over the last 20 years), in-person and remote public speaking and selling, orchestrating large-scale projects, assembling & leading teams and recognizing potential for business models and talent.
Matthias has written 4 books about the topics of digital marketing, social media, sales, business and entrepreneurship.
Over the years of living in Switzerland, London, Dubai and Los Angeles, he has also advised various financial firms and funds in simplifying their communication and marketing to attract investments in the 8 and 9-figure range and has built a large network in the digital marketing and social media sphere, as well as in the traditional finance and VC world.
